Dry silage material is harder to compact and lets more oxygen into the silo, which makes it especially prone to reheating. This applies particularly to corn silage harvested late. Josilac® extra is designed for very high dry matter levels and keeps these silages stable.

When to use Josilac® extra:
Use Josilac® extra when your silage is under extra pressure from air:
- Slow feed-out: the silage face stays open for longer, for example with smaller herds or in warm weather.
- High spoilage pressure: for crops that bring in many yeasts and mould spores from the field.
- Very dry crops: late-harvested maize, whole-crop silage or pasture grass with high dry matter.
- Wide silo faces: large surfaces where a lot of oxygen reaches the silage.
Storage and shelf life:
Shelf life: 24 months from the date of production.
Storage conditions: Keep in the original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from light.
Recommended storage: Refrigerated or frozen for best results.
